Points & Miles Value Calculator
Understand What Your Points Are Worth — and When to Use Them
Not all points are created equal. 50,000 Hilton points and 50,000 Hyatt points may sound the same, but they can have very different values.
That's why we created simple calculators to help you make smarter decisions with your points and miles.

Points or Cash?
Planning a specific flight or hotel? See whether your points are giving you good value—or if paying cash makes more sense.

Is This a Good Use of My Points?

Point and mile values shown are estimates for educational and comparison purposes only. Rewards do not have a fixed cash value, and actual redemption values vary based on program rules, availability, travel dates, fees and how rewards are redeemed. Simply Points Travel does not guarantee any particular redemption value.

What About Chase, AMEX, Citi & Capital One Points?
Transferable credit card points work differently because they can often be redeemed in several ways or transferred to airline and hotel partners. That means there isn't one guaranteed value for these points.
Our calculator uses a Simply Points Travel planning benchmark to help with comparisons, but your actual value can be much higher or lower depending on how you redeem them.
Simply Points Tip: Never transfer points to an airline or hotel program until you've confirmed award availability and you're ready to book. Transfers are typically irreversible.
Why 50,000 Points Doesn't Always Mean $500
Points aren't dollars. Every airline, hotel and credit card rewards program has its own redemption system.
Same number of points. Very different estimated value. That's why understanding the type of points you're earning can be just as important as the number of points you're earning.
